Jigoro Kano

Judo is a grappling art and competitive sport that was developed in Japan in the late 19th century by Jigoro Kano. A judo match culminates in an ippon, the highest score attainable. An ippon is awarded for a perfectly executed throw, 20-second pin, also known as osaekomi, or a successful application of the chokes and armlocks, also known as shime-waza and kansetsu-waza. The connectivity with our grappling lineage inspired us to design and introduce vol.1 origins drop.

WHITE DRAGON COLLAB.

The collaboration between HAJIME grappling co. and White Dragon Judo Club of Saint Louis, Missouri started in 2023 when Philipp Vojta introduced Gasan Rakhimov to the judo club with the objective of integrating the principles of judo into his existing grappling expertise. Glenn Trotter, the head instructor, suggested the creation of customized apparel for the entire team to be used during forthcoming competitive events. Following rigorous training sessions and numerous randori rounds, a full team showed out in HAJIME gear and achieved remarkable success at the 2024 Konjo Judo Fall Championships.

HAJIME grappling co. is based in Saint Louis, Missouri, United States, founded by a team of passionate and experienced jiu-jitsu competitors, with a strong extensive background in judo and wrestling. The word ha-ji-mé (はじめ) means "begin" in Japanese, symbolizing the beginning of every match and the constant pursuit of mastery. Our store is firmly rooted in the principles of authenticity and dedication, offering a diverse lineup of merchandise that encapsulates the spirit of grappling.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return your unused item to our warehouse for a full refund within 7 days from the date of purchase. All returns and refunds are ultimately pending approval upon receipt and inspection of the returned items.
